Enchanted Rock State Park Engagement | Katie + Jared
Katie and Jared hired me for their Enchanted Rock State Park engagement session after finding me online. They had just moved from sunny California, and opted to do a road trip across the United States. They visited several states along the way, and landed in the beautiful state of Texas!
Katie and Jared reached out to me shortly after getting engaged. Jared had proposed to Katie in White Sands National Park – so I knew they were an adventurous couple and would be down for an exciting session!
They wanted photos in a beautiful location, so after a bit of brainstorming, I suggested Enchanted Rock State Park in Texas. After seeing some photos of the park, they said “yes!” and we started planning!

Don’t know where to go or what vibe you’re looking for? Ask your photographer for location recommendations (ex. amazing parks like Enchanted Rock State Park). Once you have a location nailed down, it’s much easier to plan out timing, outfits, and all the other little details. 🙂

The day of the session, we met at the park and I was instantly struck by how cool and down-to-earth they are. We chatted and explored several areas of the park (there is SO much potential in this location!).
I suggested hiking all the way to the top of the mountain, but it was a super hot day so they were ok with skipping the hike. This engagement session has been one of my absolute favourites at this park – and we didn’t even need to hike up the mountain! 😉
Katie and Jared were so relaxed and confident, and wholly comfortable with each other – total babes and supermodels! They made my job super easy, because they knew what they wanted, and they know how to carry themselves.
